Alexandria City Public Schools Announces Thursday Schedule

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The Alexandria City Public Schools has announced the schedule for Thursday, after a blizzard hit the area over the weekend. Local jurisdictions are still digging out from about 2 feet of snow. Here’s the announcement:

Thursday, 1/28: ACPS SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED, ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES ARE OPEN FROM 10 A.M. – 5 P.M.

LAS ESCUELAS DE ACPS ESTARÁN CERRADAS, LAS OFICINAS ADMINISTRATIVAS ESTARÁN ABIERTAS de 10 a.m. a 5 p.m.

All activities in schools or on school grounds are canceled. The School Board meeting scheduled for Thursday evening will also be canceled. The School Board meeting will be rescheduled for Thursday, February 4. The Work Session will be rescheduled for Tuesday, February 2.

All 12-month employees should report to work, however liberal leave is in effect. Emergency personnel must report.
