Alexandria City Public Schools Calendar: When Is Spring Break, Last Day of School?

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The weather may be chilly now, but things will warm up soon, and students will begin counting the days until spring break. So parents had better pull out the calendar and start making plans.

In April, Alexandria City Public Schools students will get one week plus a day away from classrooms, book bags and homework. According to the school calendar for 2016-17, the spring holiday begins on April 10 and runs until Friday, April 14. There's also a teacher work day scheduled for Friday, April 7.

Here's more dates to add to your calendar from the ACPS schedule:

• May 29: Memorial Day - no classes
• June 20: Early release - high school
• June 21-22: Early release - all schoolsJ
• June 22: Last day of school (scheduled)

Note: The schedule is the same for Samuel W. Tucker Elementary School, with the exception of a two-week intersession period from Monday, March 27 to Friday, April 7.
