Alexandria Company Earns #1 Spot as Best Medium-Sized Place to Work in the Nation
Glassdoor announced the winners of their seventh annual Employees' Choice Awards, honoring the Best Places to Work across the United States.

An Alexandria company has taken the top spot as the best medium-sized company to work for in the nation.
The Glassdoor’s Employees’ Choice Awards 2015 top honor goes to The Motley Fool, an Alexandria company where employees “help the world invest better.”
The Motley Fool beat out companies from across the country to finish first on Glassdoor’s “Best Medium-Sized Companies to Work For in 2015” list. And it’s no fluke — the company ranked No. 1 on Glassdoor’s annual list last year too.

Winners were determined by the people who know these companies best — their employees. The Motley Fool earned the honor among small to medium-sized businesses with fewer than 1,000 employees.
“We’ve called Alexandria home for 21 years and have grown from just a couple brothers working from a backyard shed on Fairfax Street to more than 300 employees on Duke Street,” says People Team Leader, Lee Burbage. “And we still have a ton of growth ahead of us.”

“If you were to stop someone in a Motley Fool T-shirt walking around Old Town on their lunch break and ask them why they like working at The Motley Fool, they won’t tell you it’s about Pizza Day or the game room,” he said. “That’s because being a great place to work isn’t just about the perks. They’ll probably tell you that they love working toward a worthy purpose alongside other people who are smart, driven, and a lot of fun.”
