Alexandria Dry Cleaner Robbed at Gunpoint Tuesday

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a commercial robbery that took place Tuesday afternoon in the 5100 block of Seminary Road, according to an alert sent out by police.

Potomac Cleaners, at 5101 Seminary Road (see map below), said they were closed this afternoon while police were on the scene after the robbery.

Police said two suspects displayed a firearm and stole cash. No on was injured. Police said to expect police activity in the area. Police didn’t say what time the robbery took place; their alert was sent out at 4:03 p.m. Tuesday.

Potomac Cleaners said they will reopen for business Wednesday morning.
