Alexandria Film Festival 2021 Extended Into December
The festival, held in a virtual format, is giving viewers more time to view films through Dec. 10.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — The Alexandria Film Festival, a regional showcase of independent films from around the world, has been extended another 15 days, the festival's executive committee announced. The 15-day extension is a nod to the festival's 15th anniversary.
Originally scheduled for Nov. 11 to 25, the festival is being held in a virtual format. Viewers can see films online at their convenience during the festival period. Viewers have until midnight on Dec. 10 to begin viewing films.
"We heard from our festival pass and ticket holders that additional time would allow them to see more films and participate in the audience award process," stated Patti North, executive director of the Alexandria Film Festival. "We think extending the festival is a nice way of recognizing and thanking our audience for supporting the festival and the arts in Alexandria for 15 years."
