Alexandria Man Charged In DC Shooting Injuring 2
An Alexandria man was one of two arrested and charged in a southeast DC shooting, according to Metropolitan Police.

WASHINGTON, DC — An Alexandria man was the second suspect charged in a July shooting that injured two people in southeast DC.
The shooting happened around 10:04 p.m. on July 24 in the 4600 block of Benning Road SE. Police found two adult men who had been shot. Both victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Johnathan Young, 33, of Alexandria was charged with assault with intent to kill (gun). Young was arrested by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force with help from Alexandria Police after a DC Superior Court arrest warrant was issued.

Another suspect, a 28-year-old Capitol Heights, Maryland man who police have not publicly identified, was previously charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (gun).
