Alexandria Man Gets 26 Years For Producing Child Porn Images

The former State Department employee made over 1,000 explicit images and videos of children, evidence shows.

A former State Department employee from Alexandria was sentenced in federal court Friday, Oct. 19 to 26 years in prison for producing thousands of child pornography images and videos.

Skydance MacMahon, 45, worked with a person in Canada to get over a thousand explicit images and videos of children for two years, according to court documents. The images and videos were produced at the direction of MacMahon using Skype and hidden cameras, and MacMahon distributed them to users through his cloud storage and directly sending the files.

In addition to the creating the child pornography files, MacMahon received and possessed thousands of images and videos of child pornography.

At the time of the offenses, MacMahon worked at the Foreign Services Institute of the U.S. Department of State in Arlington as a digital media administrator.

He pleaded guilty in July to conspiring to produce child pornography and producing child pornography.
