Alexandria Man Indicted Over Fatal July Shooting In West End

An Alexandria man arrested in North Carolina has been indicted on charges related to a July 15 shooting.

ALEXANDRIA, VA – An Alexandria man has been indicted on murder charges for a July shooting in West End, according to a new report.

Corey Stubblefield, 38, of Alexandria, was indicted on Wednesday on charges of murder and using a firearm to commit murder, ALXNow reports.

Stubblefield is accused of shooting and killing Charles Talley on July 15. Talley was found with a gunshot wound in front of the ParcView apartment complex on Holmes Run Parkway.

Stubblefield was arrested in North Carolina in August. According to ALXNow, he is still awaiting extradition to Virginia, and Alexandria police say they have not determined a motive for the shooting.
