Timothy Valentin of Alexandria, has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault. Alexandria police said there may be more victims and ask anyone who hasn't spoken to police to contact them.

Alexandria investigators said during a news conference Monday that Valentin "met the women he targeted on dating apps or in person. During a date, the survivor would consume alcohol and once incapacitated, the suspect would sexually assault her."

The survivors are all adults, the Prince George's County Police Department stated. Some of the assaults were filmed, officials said.

Alexandria Commonwealth's Attorney Bryan Porter said the investigation into Valentin began in 2025. Following his arrest, investigators said they obtained a warrant to search his phone, which revealed evidence of numerous assaults in Virginia and Maryland.

During the investigation, Valentin was entered into the National Crime Information Center system as a wanted felon on Dec. 11, 2025, and within a few hours, Alexandria patrol officers received an alert from an automatic license plate reader indicating Valentin’s vehicle was traveling through the city. Officers tracked him down and arrested him on an outstanding felony warrant. He has been in custody ever since.

Alexandria Police Chief Tarrick McGuire said there is no evidence that Valentin committed any crimes while he was an officer.

According to Alexandria police, Valentin was indicted by a grand jury in December and then again on Monday morning in three additional cases. Monday's indictment in Alexandria charges Valentin with multiple felony offenses related to the three Virginia victims, including:

  • Four counts of rape by force
  • Four counts of rape by incapacitation
  • Two counts of adulteration
  • Two counts of sodomy
  • Two counts of abduction with intent to defile
  • Aggravated sexual battery by incapacitation
  • Two counts of sodomy by force or incapacitation
  • Fifteen counts of unlawful filming

Those charges are in addition to others filed in December 2025 from an incident involving a fourth victim. In that case, Valentin was charged with:

  • Two counts of rape
  • Forcible sodomy
  • Abduction with intent to defile
  • Alteration of food or drink

The Takoma Park (Maryland) Police Department also said it launched an investigation Feb. 5 after being notified about Valentin by Alexandria police. Officers in Takoma Park said one of the attacks happened on April 7, 2025.

Valentin reportedly met the victim at Blue Sunday’s Bar & Grill in Bowie before traveling to the Society Restaurant & Lounge in Silver Spring. Investigators said Valentin then took the victim to the 7600 block of Hammond Avenue in Takoma Park, where the assault occurred.

Authorities also believe there are victims in Montgomery County.
