Alexandria Nominated For South's Best City On The Rise
The public can vote for Southern Living's South's Best nominees and be entered for a $2,500 grand prize.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria has been no stranger to awards from Southern Living. It made the top 10 of the South's Best Cities in 2020. Now it's up for South's Best City on the Rise for the 2022 awards.
Southern Living opened voting of the 2022 readers South's Best Awards to readers. The 2022 awards give respondents a chance to win a $2,500 grand prize or one of three $500 prizes.
The giveaway is open through Sept. 15. Respondents can only enter once per email address, but there is no limit on how many times you can take the survey.

The survey asks respondents about various categories, including the Best City on the Rise Alexandria is nominated for. In 2021, South's Best City on the Rise winners were Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Fayetteville, Arkansas; Greenville, South Carolina; Huntsville, Alabama; Lexington, Kentucky; Norfolk, Virginia; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Waco, Texas; Wilmington, North Carolina; and Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
