Alexandria Old Town Art Festival Set For Mid-September
The free festival returns for a 19th year with an outdoor gallery of different forms of art.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — The Alexandria Old Town Art Festival will return for a 19th year on the weekend of Sept. 18 to 19.
The festival will be held Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at John Carlyle Square, 300 John Carlyle Street, Alexandria. This free event features a walkable outdoor art gallery featuring arts in every medium.
The festival was formerly named the King Street Art Festival and moved to the new location at John Carlyle Square in 2020 from the previous location along King Street. Spring dates for the art festival were added in 2021.

The event is presented by Howard Alan Events and was called one of the top art festivals in the U.S. by Sunshine Artists Magazine. The show will feature, fine jewelry, sculptures, glasswork, photography, ceramics, handcrafted apparel and decor. Artists will be on site so attendees can learn about inspiration behind the original artwork.
Attendees are asked to follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's COVID-19 guidelines.
