Romano, who originally hails from Mexico, started operations in the spring of 2012, selling frozen fruit pops at a farmer’s market, Oakton’s Smart Markets.
She started making the popsicles after looking for a way to integrate her culture with the local community, she says. After some research, she decided to produce frozen fruit pops, something very distinctive in the Mexican culture but integrating flavors from the world to make an attractive product for local people that like to try different things and for immigrants who miss the taste of their countries.
