Alexandria Restaurants Participate In Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week

The DC region's restaurant week kicks off days before Alexandria's own restaurant week.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria diners have two upcoming restaurant weeks to look forward to. Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week's winter 2022 is planned across the DC region from Monday, Jan. 17 through Sunday, Jan. 23. Then later in the week, over 60 restaurants in Alexandria will participate in Alexandria Restaurant Week from Friday, Jan. 21 to Sunday, Jan. 30.

During Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week, participating restaurants will offer $25 lunch or brunch, $40 dinner or $55 dinner special menus. Restaurants will have dine-in or takeout restaurant week menus, or both. Check individual restaurants to see if outdoor seating is available.

In Alexandria, Bastille, Hen Quarter, Laporta's Restaurant, Rustico and Osteria Marzano will have restaurant week specials. Bastille will participate in both restaurant weeks and has special menus for each. For Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week, Bastille has $40 and $55 dinner options along with $29 wine pairings. For Alexandria Restaurant Week, there will be $35 and $55 options along with $29 wine pairings. Hen Quarter will also participate in both with a $40 takeout for Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week and $35 menu for Alexandria Restaurant Week. Laporta's Restaurant has $40 and $55 options for Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week and $35 for Alexandria Restaurant Week.

Two other restaurants are only participating in Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week. Rustico has a $40 to-go menu for Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week. In the Franconia area, Osteria Marzano will have a $40 menu. Check back for Osteria Marzano's menu.

Other participating restaurants are in DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia. Diners should be aware starting Jan. 15, the COVID-19 vaccine is required to visit indoor food and drink establishments in Washington, DC. Diners 12 and older are required to have at least one dose by Jan. 15 and two doses by Feb. 15 in restaurants.

Restaurant week is held in the winter and summer each year by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington. Winter restaurant week is sponsored by Events DC, OpenTable, NBC4 Washington/Telemundo44, Airbnb, Pepco, Embassy of Japan, the National Landing Business Improvement District and Topo Chico.
