Alexandria School Calendar 2019-20: Must Know Dates

ALEXANDRIA, VA — As the summer flies by, the first day of school will approach quickly. Alexandria students will head back to classes on Tuesday, Sept. 3, the day after Labor Day.

To help you begin planning, we've rounded up a list of important dates for the coming school year. That includes winter and spring vacations, holidays, parent-teacher conferences and graduation.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• First day of school: Sept. 3
• T.C. Williams High School early release for testing: Oct. 9
• Samuel W. Tucker Elementary School early release for parent-teacher conferences: Oct. 9-11
• No school for students: Oct. 14
• Middle school early release for parent-teacher conferences: Oct. 16-18
• T.C. Williams early release for parent-teacher conferences: Oct. 24-25
• Elementary school early release for parent-teacher conferences: Nov. 13-15
• No school for Thanksgiving holiday: Nov. 27-29
• No school for winter break: Dec. 23-Jan. 3
• Samuel W. Tucker Elementary School early release for parent-teacher conferences: Jan. 16-17
• No school for Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Jan. 20
• T.C. Williams early release for parent-teacher conferences: Feb. 6-7
• Elementary school early release for parent-teacher conferences: Feb. 13-14
• No school for Presidents' Day: Feb. 17
• Middle school early release for parent-teacher conferences: Feb. 20-21
• No school for spring break: April 6-10
• No school for students: April 13
• No school for Memorial Day: May 25
