Alexandria Senior Housing Construction Begins Near Braddock Road Metro
The new senior living community will be a six-story luxury building with 133 units, a restaurant and more amenities.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — A new senior living option is under construction near Alexandria's Braddock Road Metro station, developer Bonaventure announced last week.
The senior living project at 1112 First Street will be a six-story luxury building with 133 units. Residents will have options of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units with amenities like underground parking, a restaurant, 24-hour fitness center, club lounge, business center, media room, community garden and gazebo.
Construction is expected to be done for leasing to begin in late 2023.

"The future residents of this community will enjoy top-of-the-line and have unparalleled access to the best of Alexandria, helping to create a highly attractive destination that appeals to our target demographic," said Dwight Dunton, founder and CEO of Bonaventure, in a news release.
The senior living community will be 0.3 miles from the Braddock Road Metro in the Old Town West neighborhood. Bonaventure is an Alexandria-based real estate developer that has worked on a mix of affordable, luxury and senior living communities.
