Alexandria Sidewalk Sale Features Discounts At Over 40 Businesses

The Alexandria Sidewalk Sale, an annual event with steep discounts at participating boutiques, will be held this upcoming weekend.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Before summer is over, score the best deals of the season while supporting small businesses at the Alexandria Sidewalk Sale.

The 14th annual event will be held on Saturday, Aug. 12. Over 40 participating boutiques in Old Town and Del Ray will offer steep discounts on summer merchandise.

Participating boutiques will offer a variety of items for shoppers, from women's clothing and shows to books, home decor and other goods. New participants this year include American in Paris, Fiscus Glassworks, Frances Valentine and Ms. Moxie’s Moon Shop.

In the unit block of King Street in Old Town, shoppers can find pop-ups from Lily's Flower Truck, Made in ALX, Passionately Pets and more. In the Del Ray neighborhood, the Del Ray Vintage & Flea Market will be simultaneously happening.

In between shopping, enjoy pop-up live music performances coordinated by the Yellow Door Concert Series. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., No Part of Nothin’ will perform bluegrass and classic country at Fayette and King Streets. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Vaughn Ambrose Jazz Trio will perform under the overhang at Union and King Streets.

Parking in Old Town is encouraged in parking garages and is limited on streets. Street parking in Del Ray is typically free.
