Alexandria 'Werewolf Killer' Social Media Restricted After Concerns
A motion was filed in court trying to limit online dating activity of the man who killed an Alexandria man he thought was a werewolf.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — New concerns over online dating activity led to social media restrictions for the man found not guilty in the 2018 killing in Alexandria of a man he thought was a werewolf.
As reported by NBC Washington, a judge ordered Pankaj Bhasin's social media to be removed, except for LinkedIn. Alexandria's Commonwealth's Attorney filed a motion in court in response to Pankaj Bhasin's "deception" in online dating profiles. A friend of victim Bradford Jackson told NBC Washington she found his Facebook dating profile said he was "easygoing" and recently returned from travel.
In reality, Bhasin had been released from a Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services facility earlier this year over prosecutors' objections, according to the Alexandria Times. In 2019, Bhasin was found not guilty by reason of insanity in the killing of Jackson inside an Old Town Alexandria business in July 2018.

Jackson had been a manager at the Window Universe store in the 1200 block of King Street when he was killed. Bhasin's defense argued in court he was criminally insane and thought Jackson was a werewolf. Various media reports indicated Jackson was stabbed over 50 times.
According to NBC Washington, Bhasin's conditional release includes conditions about taking medication, wearing a GPS monitor and home visits by mental health staff. The new motion sought by Alexandria's prosecutor seeks to add a condition to stop Bhasin from using social media or have his social media use be monitored.
