Alexandria Woman Chased Down In Victoria's Secret Heist
A bystander stepped in to help police catch an Alexandria woman fleeing with stolen items from Victoria's Secret.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA—An Alexandria woman couldn't slip away from police in a wild chase after shoplifting at a Fairfax County Victoria's Secret over the Christmas weekend.
The suspect wasn't discreet enough when she tried to steal from the lingerie store at the Fair Oaks Mall around 3:15 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 23. The officer was soon on her trail, and a bystander stepped in to help catch the shoplifter.
When they were able to catch up to her, she assaulted both. The cop and citizen received minimal injuries.

Samantha Darrah, 30, of Alexandria was arrested and charged with assault of an officer, simple assault, grand larceny, and resisting arrest. She was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and held on no bond.
