The market will take place in the Carlyle District and is in partnership with the City of Alexandria, the Carlyle Community Council and Renewal by Andersen.
Handmade goods from vendors (watercolor-painted ornaments from artist Myra Copus and handmade jewelry designs from Troy Montana Jewelry) will be available for purchase and shoppers will also have the chance to purchase treats and beverages including bratwurst, crepes, hotdogs and fish and chips. Artfully Chocolate will offer hot chocolate and adults can sip mulled wine at the Spicy Wine Bar.
Kid-focused activities — such as painting holiday ornaments — will also be available. Local musicians and performers will also be a part of the fun at the market. See a schedule here.
Look for Santa Claus at the market starting Sunday, Dec. 7. Alexandria’s Holiday Market goers will have a chance to meet and take photos with Santa on the Saturdays and Sundays of the market. Timeframe: 1-4 p.m., and special hours Saturday, Dec.13 from 12 noon-3 p.m.
