ALEXANDRIA, VA — Jovan Saunders, 48, of Alexandria was found “completely unclothed outside of a business and yelling," by Spotsylvania County deputies on Saturday, according to the county's sheriff's office.
Deputies responding to a report of indecent exposure in the 10300 block of Patriot Highway found Saunders, who they say also smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and was slurring his speech.
Witnesses reported seeing Saunders naked in public, including inside a nearby convenience store, according to the incident report. Based on witness statements and deputies’ observations, Saunders was detained and charged with indecent exposure and public intoxication.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 9.
