Alexandria's Around The World Cultural Food Festival Promises More Vendors, Performances
The Around The World Cultural Food Festival will be held for a fourth year in Alexandria and aims to have more vendors and performers.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandrians can enjoy diverse cultures and eat around the world in one place with the returning Around the World Cultural Food Festival in August.
Branded as the DC region's largest outdoor cultural festival, the eighth annual Around the World Cultural Food Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24 in Oronoco Bay Park, 100 Madison St., Alexandria, VA. This is the fourth year the event will be held in Alexandria's Oronoco Bay Park after relocating in 2022.
This year, the festival promises a greater selection of ethnic food vendors, artisans, crafters, and traditional performances than in previous years. The festival will feature nearly 50 countries with over 150 individual food choices from 24 countries, folk dances and performances from 12 countries, and goods from 110 artisans, crafters, independent consultants, small businesses and nonprofits.

The countries represented in the food vendors are Cambodia, China, Egypt, Greece, Guyana, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Korea, Laos, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, Palestine, Pakistan, Peru, Thailand, Taiwan, Turkey, Vietnam and the United States. Empanadas will be offered from Argentina, El Salvador, Jamaica, Mexico and Peru, along with desserts from France, Japan, Vietnam and more. The dance performers will be representing Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Ukraine, Scotland and Turkey. A few of the countries represented in the vendors are Angola, Armenia, Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Colombia, El Salvador, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, Morocco, Nigeria, Peru, Rwanda, Scotland, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Turkey and the United States.
Admission to the festival is free, but food, drinks and vendor items are available for purchase.
