Arrests Made In DC Homicides Involving Alexandria Victims
In the Georgetown homicide involving a victim from Alexandria, the wanted suspect was arrested in Kingston, Jamaica.

WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police have made arrests in two DC homicides involving victims from Alexandria.
One of the arrests stems from a Jan. 31 homicide in the 3200 block of M Street Northwest in Georgetown. Around 6:13 p.m. on Jan. 31, police responded to a shooting report and found the victim with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim Tarek Boothe, 27, of Alexandria, was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
The suspect, Ranje Reynolds, 24, of Beltsville, Maryland, was wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant. On Tuesday, Reynolds was arrested in Kingston, Jamaica by U.S. Marshals Service Florida and Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force. He will be extradited to DC and charged with first degree murder while armed.

The vicitim, a 27-year-old from Alexandria, was waiting for an Uber ride when he was shot, according to a GoFundMe fundraiser. Boothe was an "aspiring chef, artist, loving Son and Brother," his sister Tahani Boothe shared on GoFundMe.
The other arrests related to the July 9 homicide of Damari Deon Wright, 17, of Alexandria in northeast DC. Around 5:26 p.m., police had responded to the 3500 block of Hayes Street NE for gunshots. Police found Wright in a vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds and no signs of life.

On Aug. 9, the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Marquelle Hodges, 18, of northeast DC. The suspect, not publicly identified by police, was charged with second degree murder while armed.
Another arrest was made by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force on Monday. Kenneth Swann, 18, of southeast DC was also charged with second degree murder while armed.
