Assistance League's Literary Luncheon Will Feature Authors and Auction

Two Award Winning Authors Will Discuss Their Books

Assistance League of Northern Virginia is announcing additional details about its upcoming Literary Luncheon & Fundraiser on Sunday, April 30, at the Springfield Golf & Country Club, 8301 Old Keene Mill Road, Springfield. The event will feature two award-winning authors discussing their writings and answering questions from attendees. Judith Pearson has written a fantastic spy tale: “The Wolves at the Door: The True Story of America’s Greatest Female Spy.” Dr. Sean McFate is a foreign policy expert, author, and professor whose books reflect his experiences as an officer in the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division. His latest thriller is “High Treason.” The lunch starts at noon, but there will be time before and after to meet with the authors. Peggy Fox, former TV News Anchor at WUSA and currently Dominion's Media Relations Manager, will moderate the authors’ discussion. Copies of the authors’ books will be available for purchase, and you can have them signed by the authors!

Assistance League’s live auction items will include some exciting high-end elements, so come prepared to bid! Daniel Sanders, CEO of Four Sales, Ltd., will serve both as auctioneer and emcee for this event and an intriguing array of raffle items. The auction will include two travel packages in exotic destinations. One adventure is an African Photographic Safari for two by Zulu Nyala, in South Africa. Another escapade takes you and a guest to the tropical paradise of Bali. (Airfare and ground transportation not included). The nonprofit will also auction gift certificates from MOSS Building & Design, Chantilly; Midtown Jewelers, Herndon; and Lubin Portrait Studios, Fairfax. Assistance League of Northern Virginia is very grateful to the three organizations for their generous support of the Fundraiser Luncheon.

Tickets are still available, but tickets for larger groups wanting to sit together are limited, so act soon! The deadline for reserving seats is April 16. To purchase tickets and for more information about the luncheon, visit: ALNV-Lunch.eventbrite.com
