Boxwood Holding Grand Opening At New Location On Alexandria's King Street
The grand opening of the relocated Boxwood will include a ribbon cutting and activities for shoppers.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Home goods store is moving to a more prominent King Street location after five years on Royal Street in Old Town Alexandria.
Boxwood will host its grand opening Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1205 King Street, Alexandria, VA. Owner Joanna Szczerban decided to relocate her popular home decor and gift shop to upper King Street after five years.
Grand opening festivities will include a ribbon cutting with Mayor Justin Wilson, activities under the Boxwood tents and 20 percent off anything red, white and blue and free gift with purchase. The activities under the tent will be face painting from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Annie Sloan Chalk Paint demonstrations from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., craft workstation with "paint your own picture frame" from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., patriotic product displays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., hand-blown vases from Italy with complementary fresh flower bouquets, and social media Boxwood photo booth from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
