The Goddard School in Old Town Alexandria is developed by the owners of the award-winning Goddard Schools in Ashburn and Leesburg, known for their excellence in Health/Safety and Quality Assurance. The premier preschool accommodates 200 children, ages six weeks to 10 yrs. old. On-site owner, Mr. Akhil and Mrs. Madhu Govil, along with their education and admin directors, and faculty, which includes teachers trained and experienced in early childhood development, welcome children into this nurturing environment where the curriculum encourages learning for lifetime.

The Goddard School, founded in 1984, is a nationwide network of private preschools committed to providing high-quality early childhood education. With over 600 schools across the United States, The Goddard School is the largest private preschool educational system in the nation.

Approved by the Virginia State Department of Education (VSDE), The Goddard School in Old Town Alexandria operates on a 12-month schedule, offering Fall, Spring, and Summer Sessions. The Summer Session includes the core curriculum along with field trips, special visitors, and various exciting learning opportunities.

With nearly two decades of experience in operating Goddard Schools, the Govils are set to deliver the highest quality early childhood education to the Alexandria community starting late February or early March.
Mr. Govil, holding a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, an M.S. in Systems Engineering, and an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, brings a wealth of expertise to the field of early childhood education. Ms. Govil, with a B.S. in Chemistry, has dedicated her career to customer-centric entrepreneurship, emphasizing growth and scale in new markets.

The Govils first opened the Goddard School in Ashburn in 2006, which operated successfully for eight years before the development of the Goddard School in Leesburg. Their commitment to education and community involvement has been recognized repeatedly over the last thirty years, reflecting their dedication to youth development and cultural education.
