Alexandria's unique, interactive craft fair includes activities for all ages, plus craft beer and food!
Made in ALX will be returning to Port City Brewing Co. on Saturday, May 2, to host its annual Spring Maker's Market with more than 25 artists, creators and makers — and a lot of chances to create your own art, too.
The Made in ALX Maker's Market at Port City Brewing Co. in Alexandria is a fun and uniquely interactive event where you can sip, shop and craft!
In addition to the opportunity to shop from more than 25 local vendors with unique art, crafts and gifts (shop for Mother's Day, May 10, or upcoming graduations, birthdays and weddings!), several local artists and vendors will offer a variety of arts and craft projects for guests to do themselves, including:
- Make your own jewelry in several styles
- Mix up an all-natural, custom-scented hand scrub
- Make your own custom magnets
- Paint a watercolor bookmark
- Personalize a beer glass
- Decorate chocolate truffles
- Mix up a jar of quick pickles
- Create custom labels for candles, cookies and other gifts
- Create a key ring
- ... and more!
After all, the best gifts are handmade. While you're shopping and crafting, you can sip on award-winning brews from Port City Brewing Co. and enjoy lunch or snacks from La Tingeria, the brewery's award-winning on-site restaurant.
This event, as always, is kid-friendly and pet-friendly (outside the brewery), too. Street and nearby lot parking is free. Port City Brewing Co. is at 3950 Wheeler Ave. in Alexandria's West End.
