Camp Counselor In Alexandria Charged With Sexual Assault Of Minor
Alexandria Police have charged a Campagna Center camp counselor with sexual assault and have not identified other incidents.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — A camp counselor at Alexandria's Campagna Center has been charged with the sexual assault of a minor, according to Alexandria Police.
The charge relates to the sexual assault of a child under age 13, according to police. Tae’Sean Atwater, 21, was charged with sexual assault and is being held at the Alexandria Adult Detention Center.
Atwater has been a camp counselor with the Campagna Kids program since 2109, working at sites like the Patrick Henry Elementary School summer camp, Samuel Tucker Elementary before-school program, and George Mason Elementary after-school program. A police spokesperson confirmed the sexual assault charge relates to Atwater's Campagna Center work.

Based on preliminary investigations, police have not found inappropriate contact with other children.
