Capital Wheel to Celebrate 1st Birthday Saturday at National Harbor
DJ, cupcakes, prize giveaways are part of the celebration of 42-car Ferris wheel.

On Saturday, May 30, National Harbor will celebrate The Capital Wheel’s first birthday. National Harbor is located across the river from Alexandria, at 165 Waterfront St. in Maryland.
Over the past year, the Capital Wheel has been featured on SNL, ESPN and has changed the area skyline as it stands 180 feet above the Potomac waterfront.
On Saturday, a DJ will keep the celebration hopping from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the plaza, Buzz Bakery will hand out free cupcakes to the first 500 riders, there will be fun props in the Wheel’s gondolas for photo ops and there will be “Golden Ticket” giveaways all day, according to organizers.
