Carjacking In Alexandria Leads To Teen's Arrest In DC

Metropolitan Police in DC helped arrest a teen suspect after a woman was carjacking in Alexandria.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A teen is in custody after a carjacking in Alexandria Tuesday, according to Alexandria Police.

Just after 9 a.m., an Alexandria woman called 911 saying a suspect forcibly removed her from her vehicle and stole it. According to a DC Realtime News report based on scanner information, the carjacking happened in the 3300 block of Wyndham Circle in the West End of the city. There were no reported injuries.

Alexandria Police, with help from Metropolitan Police, located the stolen vehicle hours later in Washington, DC. The juvenile was taken into custody, but charges were not immediately announced.
