Child Struck On Sidewalk In Alexandria Crash: Police
Alexandria Police say a 9-year-old pedestrian was struck on the sidewalk when a vehicle left the roadway.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A child was struck in an Old Town Alexandria crash Tuesday, according to Alexandria Police.
The crash happened around 2:38 p.m. in the 200 block of N. West Street. According to police, the driver struck a 9-year-old pedestrian when her vehicle left the roadway.
The driver remained on scene when police arrived. The child was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver went to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver was identified as Sarah Overman, 78, of Alexandria. No charges have been announced by police.
