Choral Evensong & Festive Reception--October 5
Join us Sunday, October 5 at 5:00 p.m. for a beautiful Choral Evensong service.
The Christ Church Choir will sing Choral Evensong on Sunday, October 5, at 5:00 p.m. in the Auditorium. The prelude, which begins at 4:40, will be Franz Schubert’s magnum opus for four-hand piano, Fantasie in F Minor, D. 940. Jason Abel will be joined by guest musician Zach Fritsch-Hemenway in performing this piece. The choir will sing works by Gary Davison, Morton Lauridsen, Christina Whitten Thomas, and John Sanders. This Evensong is being sung in the Auditorium to take advantage of the warm acoustics best suited for this music. A reception will follow the service.
