Choral Evensong & Reception--February 1 at 5:00 p.m.

The Christ Church Choir will sing the service of Choral Evensong on Sunday, February 1, at 5:00 p.m. The worship will include Charles Stanford’s beloved Evening Service in G; Edward Bairstow’s Save us, O Lord waking; and Preces and Responses by Robert Lehman. Preceding the service, Filippa Duke, Director of Music at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Herndon, Virginia, will play a brief organ recital beginning at 4:40. She will then accompany the choir for Evensong. A reception will follow in the Meade Room. Please plan to join us. We’ll be done before the kickoff of the Super Bowl!
