Christ Child Project Christmas Shop Helps Low Income Alexandria Families

The Christ Child Project Christmas Shop helps low income families of Alexandria provide Christmas gifts for their children.

Alexandria, VA, December 12, 2014, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. — The Christ Child Project Christmas Shop helps low income families of Alexandria provide Christmas gifts for their children. Families are chosen and registered with the help of Alexandria Social Services, Head Start, the Public Housing Community, and other programs which serve low income families in the city.

The Christ Child Project Christmas Shop is volunteer run. The volunteers enjoy helping others succeed at providing a bountiful Christmas for their family, as well as working with and getting to know neighbors and fellow parishioners.

Volunteers act as Santa’s elves escorting families through the shop helping them to select gifts and toys for their children. All proceeds are donated back to the community.
