ALEXANDRIA -- With a snowstorm forecast to hit the area this weekend, DASH bus service is keeping residents notified Wednesday ahead of the storm of changes to its schedule when snow hits.

• Plan your travel ahead of time and visit dashbus.com to check for service or route delays.
• Allow extra time for your commute due to potential delays with road conditions.
• Know your route and pay special attention to changing and/or declining weather conditions.
• Dress warmly. You may be outside longer than normal.
• Do not stand in the street while waiting for a bus.
• Use extreme caution when walking on exposed surfaces, including parking lots and station platforms. Never run for a bus or train.
• Report any unsafe conditions to a DASH Operator.
