DC-Based Framing Company Opening Shop In Old Town Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Putting displays into custom framing is the specialty of a new locally-based shop open in Old Town Alexandria.

Framebridge, a DC-based custom framing shop, will open Saturday, Oct. 14 at 1308 King Street. Community activations will be planned at a later time.

DC area resident Susan Tynan had founded Framebridge in 2014 as an e-commerce platform offering custom framing. In 2019, the first brick-and-mortar store opened in DC'a 14th Street corridor. Since then, 21 locations have opened, including five in the DC area. The flagship 14th Street store in DC was recently reopened with a renovated space for design services.

The Old Town Alexandria store will be Framebridge's sixth in the DC area. The store will offer in-person design services, advice and community events that will start later this fall.
