DC Native Finds Niche In Getting NoVA Multifamily Units Move-In Ready

ALEXANDRIA, VA — In between families moving in and out at Northern Virginia's multifamily buildings, a lot of work goes on behind the scenes.

That's where ravaliDMV comes in. DC native Rafael Lugo started the business to provide property solutions and hospitality services to property owners. That typically means providing cleaning, painting, drywalling and other maintenance services needed after move-outs.

Lugo started working 16 years ago for a subcontractor to a larger general contractor. In October 2022, he branched out to create his own business with a focus on serving property owners and the hospitality industry.

Lugo tells Patch the company currently works in Alexandria, Falls Church, and Arlington. While the company's niche is multifamily apartment buildings, the company recently expanded to serve the hospitality industry with housekeeping, waitstaff and kitchen cleaning services.

"With the new 'hospitality' target market, we anticipate going well beyond the immediate area and into surrounding counties, our side of the Potomac," Lugo said.

Given Northern Virginia's abundance of multifamily properties, it's no surprise Lugo says there is a huge need for the company's services.

"A lot of companies don't even realize there's a one-stop company (us) that has all their needs under one umbrella," said Lugo. "They use multiple vendors, e.g. one for cleaning, one for painting, one for pressure washing, etc. RavaliDMV provides all those and more, under one company."

The company is staying busy in the new year. It recently secured a new contract with a Northern Virginia property owner that owns 21 properties. For Lugo, it's exciting to add more clients to a growing list.

"I love the connections and relationships I make," said Lugo. "Also, being able to provide exceptional deliverables, coupled with exceptional service, are what we do best."
