Cherry Blossom Festival, Super Pet Expo, St. Patrick's Day: DC, NoVA Weekend Events

WASHINGTON, DC — This weekend will be the official start of spring and cherry blossom season in the DC region.

The new season brings plenty of events to check out this upcoming weekend in Northern Virginia and DC. A highlight will be the opening ceremony to start the National Cherry Blossom Festival in DC. Visitors can begin enjoying cherry blossom festivities before peak bloom is expected March 22 to 25 at the Tidal Basin.

Other notable events include the Super Pet Expo at Dulles Expo Center, the opening of the FRIENDS Experience: The One in Washington D.C., St. Patrick's Day events, and more.
