Dogs Saved From 'Meat Farm' Need New Homes: Report
The canines were going to be killed in South Korea, says Humane Society International.
A group of dogs rescued from slaughter in South Korea is being put up for adoption in the Washington area, according to Humane Society International.
The dogs were taken from a “meat farm” that was shut down by the Humane Society International, the group said in a message posted to social media. The animals have spent their entire lives living in open-air cages suspended over the ground, and they don’t know what grass feels like under their feet.
The dogs will be available for adoption from the Washington Animal Rescue League, Washington Humane Society, Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, Animal Welfare League of Arlington, and the Fairfax County Animal Shelter.
