Dumplings And Pizza Carryout Place Opens In Alexandria

The carryout place serves pizza by the "ounce" and selections of dumplings.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Pendleton Carryout Co. a restaurant featuring a pair of menus from two chefs, is open at 807 Pendleton St, Alexandria.

The business serves as an "incubator" for emerging restaurant concepts, according to its website. It expects to have three to four concepts.

The eatery now houses Laoban Dumplings and Sliced, which serves pizza. Laoban Dumplings, which also has a location in Foggy Bottom, serves varieties like ginger chicken and pork cilantro.

Sliced has pizza by the "ounce," or slice. Varieties include classic pepperoni, cheese and veggie and eclectic additions like a green-garlic sauce. A gluten-free cauliflower crust is also an option. Ingredients come from the Del Ray Farmers Market.

According to Eater DC, the two concepts started as pop-ups at Dupont Circle's Shop Made in DC.
