Embezzlement At Old Town Alexandria Restaurant Gets Former Manager Sentence
Prosecutors say a former manager stole hundreds of thousands from a locally-owned restaurant in Old Town Alexandria.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A former manager was served a sentence for embezzling funds from a locally-owned restaurant in Old Town Alexandria, according to a report.
In Alexandria court, a judge sentenced Claude Ibrahim, 53, of Manassas, to 30 months in prison and ordered her to pay back the nearly $700,000 in funds embezzled from Hank's Oyster Bar in Alexandria. According to WTOP, Ibrahim has paid $90,000 but still owes $591,000.
Ibrahim had been indicted on 17 counts of embezzlement tied to her work at Hank's Oyster Bar, the Alexandria Commonwealth's Attorney announced last year. She pleaded guilty to nine counts of felony embezzlement and eight counts of misdemeanor embezzlement.

The embezzlement happened when Ibrahim worked for the restaurant from 2014 through 2022, according to the Alexandria's Commonwealth's Attorney. Prosecutors say Ibrahim fraudulently made timesheets for fake employees and gave the paychecks to herself.
