Found: Endangered Man From Alexandria: Police (Update)

Police are trying to find a missing Alexandria man. His car was found in Rose Hill, and his family is concerned for his wellbeing.

(Update 3:05 p.m.: Police say Winstead has been found.)

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Police are looking for the public's help in finding a man missing from the Del Ray area of Alexandria.

Walter "George" Winstead, 49, was last seen in Del Ray around 7:45 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 28. On Tuesday, his car was located at the Rose Hill Shopping Center in Fairfax County.

Winstead is classified as an endangered missing person since his family is concerned for his welfare. Family provided a picture of Winstead and described him as white, 6 foot, 180 lbs, with brown hair and grey eyes. He was last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt, light colored shorts and dark shoes.
