Beagle and Basset Cruise on the Potomac

All beagles and bassets and their owners are invited to join the DC Beagle group for their annual canine cruise on the Potomac!

The Potomac Riverboat Company offers a fun and unique Canine Cruise every Thursday in the summer months. It includes a 40-minute tour of Alexandria's seaport and Potomac River on a double-decker vessel. It departs from the Old Town Alexandria marina. All dogs must be on a 6ft flat leash (no flexi-leashes!). Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available on the boat. Our beagles and bassets ride for free, but the humans pay for their ride ($15.00 per adult, $9 per child under 12). Our group will go on the cruise with the 8:00 PM sailing time. Please be sure to arrive no later than 7:45 PM or the boat will leave without you.

We highly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance in case the Canine Cruise sells out. You can purchase them online. Select July 19 and the 8:00 PM time. If the cruise does not sell out, you may also purchase them in-person the day of the cruise at the white ticket booth at the marina. The Canine Cruise is docked behind the Torpedo Factory Art Center on North Union Street, which is located at the foot of Cameron Street in Old Town Alexandria.
