Grace Episcopal School

A few spaces remain for the 2026–27 school year at Grace Episcopal School. Now is a wonderful time to begin your journey with us. At Grace, we are small by design, creating a close-knit community where each child is truly known, valued, and supported. We serve students from preschool (ages 3) through 5th grade, providing a warm, consistent environment where children can grow with confidence over time. We believe in honoring the gift of childhood—nurturing curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning through joyful, hands-on experiences that meet students where they are developmentally. Our program is thoughtfully designed to balance strong academics with social-emotional growth, fostering confidence, kindness, and a lifelong enthusiasm for discovery. Made in ALX Summer Art Camps

Made in ALX, in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, is excited to welcome kids ages 6 to 13 to our summer art camps! Your kids can paint, sculpt and craft in a positive and supportive environment with small class sizes (just 10 kids per session). These week-long, half-day camps are hosted both mornings and afternoons for children ages 6 to 9 or 10 to 13. Classes are taught by an experienced and loved Fairfax County Public Schools art teacher. Alexandria Art Show & Spring Craft Fair ~ Mother's Day Celebration @ John Carlyle Square

Bring your family and friends to the Purcellville Music and Arts Festival on Saturday, April 25 from noon to 7 p.m. rain or shine. This free, family-friendly event will be held at Fireman’s Field Park and inside the Bush Tabernacle Skating Rink at 250 South Nursery Avenue.

Enjoy a full day of live music and performances across multiple stages, along with an art exhibit, games, chalk art, and a variety of interactive activities. Browse offerings from local vendors featuring handcrafted goods, food, beverages, and more. There will be fun for all ages, including face painting, glitter tattoos, sidewalk chalk art, and t-shirt or tote bag decorating. Local non-profits will also be on-site sharing information and resources. Special activities will highlight and celebrate the 250th anniversary of America’s independence. 
Inside the Bush Tabernacle Skating Rink—transformed into the Art Hall—you’ll find more than 30 works of art, live performances, art demonstrations, and hands-on activities including quilt square decorating and an Instrument Petting Zoo. Be sure to pick up a festival scavenger hunt booklet and complete it for a chance to win a prize!
