The largest parade celebrating the birth of George Washington in the U. S. A.! Although the citizens of Alexandria have celebrated this event since Washington was living, the annual parade dates back to at least 1881. It is a parade for everyone and features horses, carriages, reenactors, businesses, historic organizations, color guards, bands, floats, antique cars, clowns, motorcycles, mini cars, a few dogs, and over 1,000 scouts. It is fun and it is free. (If you have a group that would like to march in the Parade, contact us right away!)
