Pilates for Osteoporosis will guide you safely and effectively through exercises that strengthen your core while eliminating contraindicated forward flexion. This workshop can also be applied to activities of daily living and other exercise programs and help you understand how to care for and improve your low bone mass. Part 1 - lecture regarding kinesiology of the spine and spinal abnormalities associated with Osteopenia and Osteoporosis. Part 2 - Pilates safe Master Class to increase core strength while protecting the spine. Please bring a mat and wear comfortable clothes. We will be getting down on the floor. Handouts provided.
