Registration Open: The Yoga of Liberation; Jivamukti

Jivamukti Yoga, one of the nine internationally recognized styles of Hatha Yoga , is a method that integrates the physical, philosophical, and the spiritual aspects of Yoga. Developed in 1984 by Sharon Gannon and David Life, Jivamukti classes involve a virgorous flow of postures that will challenge you on many levels. Each class revolves around a theme based on ancient wisdom texts and emphasizes the importance of practicing yoga with an elevated intention. Chanting, meditation, and inspiring music are integral parts of the complete Jivamukti Yoga experience. The name Jivamukti (pronouced Jee-va-mook-tee), taken from the Sanskrit jivan-individaul soul/ mukti- liberation may be translated as "liberation while still living in the body.". The goal of this practice is to help you attain your fullest potential in every sense; physical, spiritual, intellectual and emotional. Recommended for those familiar with basic vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga practice.
