The Alexandria Library will host a free workshop on “Your Board and Fundraising” for nonprofit organizations on March 22, 2012 at 7:00pm at the Beatley Central Library in Alexandria, Virginia. “Your Board and Fundraising” will be led by Patricia Pasqual, Director of the Washington D.C. Office of the Foundation Center. The workshop offers insight into the role of the board of directors in the fundraising process, and will help the staff, volunteers and board members of nonprofit organizations learn more about how to include boards of directors in seeking grants from foundations, corporations, and grantmaking public charities. Ms. Pasqual will offer tips on how to approach board members with concerns about fundraising, and how to strengthen the role of the board in the fundraising process.
