Famed Chinese Chef Announces Opening Date Of New Alexandria Restaurant

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Renowned restauranteur Peter Chang has announced the opening date of his new venture in Alexandria.

Peter Chang 3.0 will open its doors to the public on Tuesday the business announced on its social media feed. The restaurant has been providing glimpses of its menu for the past few days.

The restaurant’s website describes the new location as “the next evolution of the Peter Chang brand … built around the way people dine today.” It touts a QR ordering system that will allow customers to place orders at any point during their stay, a system they call more convenient and relaxed. The space also promises an open kitchen and halal meats and describes itself as offering “Chinese tapas,” with smaller dishes designed for tasting and sharing.

Peter Chang, who was born in China and first worked in the U.S. at the Chinese embassy in Washington, DC, is among modern chefs credited with bringing authentic Sichuan cuisine to the United States. He was for many years a wandering chef, tracked by foodies as he moved from kitchen to kitchen. In the past decade, however, he has settled down in the Washington metro area, with seven restaurants in Virginia, one in the District of Columbia and more in Maryland.

Peter Chang 3.0 is located at 6224 North Kings Highway in Alexandria.
