Fiancée Of Man Killed On Beltway Pleads For Information
The victim's fiancée questioned how a driver could strike and kill the Alexandria man before fleeing from the scene.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—The Alexandria man killed on the Capital Beltway by oncoming traffic Saturday, Oct. 6 worked for the federal government and was engaged, according to a new report. His fiancée is asking for information on the driver that struck him and fled.
Nathan Dickerson, 47, was an employee at the Social Security Administration and formerly the Office of Personnel Management, NBC Washington reported. He was engaged to Sonya Andrade and had two adult children.
Andrade told the news station he was coming home from MGM National Harbor Saturday but never got home. Virginia State Police came in the morning to tell her the tragic news.

Around 1:20 a.m., Dickerson was driving west on the Beltway when his car ran off the left side of the interstate and struck the jersey wall. The car came back into the westbound lanes and collided with an RV. After that crash, the victim got out of his car and was struck by traffic.
The first car that hit him fled the scene, while others stayed behind. Dickerson was pronounced dead on the scene.

"How can someone do that? How can someone just hit someone and leave them like that?" Andrade told NBC Washington.
