Fresh Baguette Plans Alexandria Grand Opening With Freebies

When Fresh Baguette opens on Alexandria's King Street, the first 20 people will get free croissants for a year.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Fresh Baguette, a bakery based in the DC region, will hold a grand opening for its new Alexandria location Tuesday.

The new location is at 1101 King Street, Alexandria. When the bakery opens, the first 20 people in line will receive free croissants for a year. The offer is good for one person per household and equates to one croissant per week for 52 weeks. The grand opening starts at 7 a.m. and runs through 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 1.

Other grand opening offers include a free baguette for customers and a $3 Fresh Baguette Sampler. The sampler includes a croissant and two mini pastries. Proceeds from the sampler will benefit Carpenter's Shelter, a homeless shelter in Alexandria.

Fresh Baguette offers a variety of breads, croissants, pastries, other baked goods, sandwiches, savory quiches, coffee and tea. This will be Fresh Baguette's fourth location. Other locations are in Georgetown, DC; Bethesda, Maryland and Rockville, Maryland.
